Let me introduce myself and give you a little background.
I'm retired from 33 years in the public utility sector. I worked seven years as a millwright, requiring me to have the skills of a machinist, mechanic, electrician and welder. My job was installing and repairing domestic water, storm water and waste water equipment. At the age of 28, I went to work for the State of California Department of Water Resources as a Hydro Electric Plant Mechanic. This job was more physical and less technical than my previous job but paid better. I missed the technical part of my previous job and the independence, so at the age of 33, I went back to school to become an Electrical Mechanical Testing Technician. My responsibilities were protective relaying and instrumentation and control. In this position I was able to use all of my skills to solve problems. After twenty five years doing this job I didn't want to retire; I still love the work today. I wanted to work for myself in the private sector. I love solving problems.

As an Electrical & Mechanical Testing Technician I was specifying replacement products for DWR. I was disappointed in most factory representatives, as they didn't know how to apply their products; they just wanted to sell them. I decided two years ago to start up my own company, Encore Enterprise. With my background I knew I could do more than sales; I could offer products and support to solve my customers' problems.
My goal is to provide products specific to the utilities. To start this company I am drawing on my 35 years experience. Initially, I'm focusing on the products I needed when I was doing my job. This encompasses a large variety of products. Some of the products I am presenting are as follows: Utility grade panel meters, transducers, flow and level switches unique to this trade.
I will be manufacturing prefab assemblies. This will save you labor and also maintain quality control. I will be stocking 3M Electrical potting compounds, as well as shrink tube and specialty tools for making wiring harnesses for thrust and lower guide oil tubs. I am a stocking distributor for C.K. High Voltage Tools. I will be offering high voltage gloves, mats and hot sticks. I will stock the items that have a long lead time for delivery. If you think of any information or products you would like to see a single vendor provide, let me know. My objective is to provide anything you want cheaper and faster. There are no businesses in the United States trying to do business with the utilities this way because it's so difficult to do. As soon as I can I will be providing these products by E-Commerce. What's different about my business is the flow of information. Hopefully it will flow in both directions. Please take a look at some of my previous projects. I have a mass of information from bearing loading to flow meters; RTDs, instrumentation, machine alignments, and much more. This type of information will be online soon.
